Mighty Line Minute – Season 3, Episode 4

At Mighty Line, product innovation and workplace safety are only part of the story. Just as important is the culture behind the brand—the people who believe in what they build and the customers who rely on it every day. That spirit was on full display in Mighty Line Minute: Season 3, Episode 4, featuring Chris Cukon, the firm's new Product Specialist and one of the newest members of the sales team.

Recorded at the Sherwin-Williams Vendor Exhibition at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Florida, the episode spotlights one of the newest members of the Mighty Line sales team and delivers a behind-the-scenes look at the company’s culture, product durability, and real-world warehouse applications.

A Family Business with a Purpose

When asked what stood out most since joining the company, Chris didn’t hesitate.

“I love that it’s a family-based business,” he shared. “It’s a great culture to be in, and it’s a great product.”

That combination—strong values paired with a premium product—has long defined Mighty Line. Chris emphasized that their products don’t need a hard sell. Product quality quality speaks for itself.

“It’s built to last,” he said. “I haven’t seen anything quite like it. Nothing really matches its durability and quality.”

That confidence isn’t marketing hype—it’s rooted in firsthand experience, both in the field and at events like the Sherwin-Williams Show, where customer reactions tell the real story.

When Customers Touch the Product, They’re Sold

The Sherwin-Williams Vendor Exhibition brought a steady stream of visitors to the Mighty Line booth in Orlando. According to Chris, engagement was nonstop, and curiosity turned into excitement almost immediately.

“Honestly, I just try to get them to touch our product,” he explained. “As soon as they feel the thickness and the quality of our tape, our label protectors, even our floor signs, they’re kind of sold.”

That tactile moment is key. Mighty Line’s 50-mil thickness, bold colors, patented beveled-edge, and industrial-grade construction are instantly noticeable. Customers frequently follow up with a telling question: Why am I not selling this more?

Even more surprising to many attendees was the realization that ShieldMark Inc. (parent company) is already an approved Sherwin-Williams vendor. Once they learned that fact, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

“Everyone seems to love it,” Chris noted. “They can’t talk enough goodness about it.”

Real-World Applications in the Warehouse

Beyond the trade show floor, Chris shared how he suggests using Mighty Line products in a warehouse environment—and why they work so well in demanding conditions.

“I’d put it down the [floor tape] to mark designated walk areas,” he said, emphasizing visibility and clarity for foot traffic. Depending on the environment, he pointed to glow-in-the-dark tape as ideal options for low-light or temporary lights-out conditions.

Traction solutions also stood out to him, including a newer "ribbed" tape, and the anti-slip nature of other Mighty Line floor tape models such as their "Tac" or "traction" (diamond-plate) tape.

“With that traction, you know something’s there that you’re stepping on,” Chris explained. “You can really feel it.”

Even without “ribbing,” the product's thickness provides a tactile cue underfoot—an added layer of awareness that improves safety. In heavy forklift areas, the tape holds up just as well, maintaining visibility and integrity despite constant abuse. And, their 50 mil tape carry’s a best-in-class 3-year limited warranty.

Chris also highlighted the practicality of Mighty Line “dots,” “corners,” and “arrows,” 5S organization and delineation tools that make layouts flexible and maintenance simple.

“They’re easy and replaceable,” he said. At some point in the future, “you just take up the bad dot or arrow and slap down a new one.”

Proven Durability, Even Years Later

One of the most compelling moments in the episode came when Chris recalled spotting Mighty Line tape throughout the warehouse docks at the Gaylord Palms Resort—away from the trade show booths.

From what he understood, the tape had been in place for nearly five years.

“And it looks great,” he said. “It isn’t torn. The color is still bright and vibrant.”

He noticed no visible fading, tearing, or serious damage.

“That’s huge,” Chris noted. “Especially in environments like that.”

It was a quiet but powerful endorsement: real-world proof that the company's products don’t just promise durability—they deliver it.

Innovation on the Horizon: Glow Tape

Innovation is never far from the conversation at Mighty Line. During the episode, Chris unboxed a prototype of the company’s newest glow-in-the-dark tape. The photoluminescent floor tape being designed for emergency “lights-out” scenarios. In other words, the tape provides illumination—helping guide employees safely toward exits during power outages or emergencies. Of course, warehouse occupancies are already required to install properly designed and engineered emergency lighting to assure safe employee and visitor egress. But what happens if they fail or are not maintained?

“That will provide light for all the employees,” Chris explained.

As safety standards evolve and facilities look for smarter solutions, products like glow tape represent the next step in proactive, visual safety.

A Florida Detour: Cold Springs and Balance

Not everything in the episode was strictly business. In a lighter moment, Chris shared details from a recent visit to Wekiwa Springs and Kelly Park—often referred to as Cold Springs—in Florida.

Despite the name, the water hovers around 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit and offer a refreshing, mineral-rich experience.

“Very relaxing,” Chris said. “Clear water, pure water from the earth.”

It was a reminder that even in fast-paced environments like trade shows and warehouses, balance matters—and so does enjoying the journey.

Parting Words: Safety That Sticks

As the episode wrapped up and the booth traffic continued to flow, Chris left listeners with a clear and confident message.

“Keep selling Mighty Line,” he said. “There’s no better product out there.”

And when prompted for a final send-off, he delivered a message that perfectly aligns with the brand’s mission:

“Stay safe out there. “Use our tape, shapes, symbols and floor signs for your 5S Safety. The floor tape is 'the only durable stripe' out there.”

The Takeaway

Season 3, Episode 4 wasn’t just an introduction to a new team member—it was a snapshot of what makes Mighty Line different. A family-oriented culture. Products that prove themselves year after year. Genuine customer engagement. And an unwavering commitment to operational excellence and safety.

From warehouse floors to vendor exhibitions, Mighty Line continues to set the standard—one durable stripe at a time.
