Have you ever touched a hot pan, lost work you’d spent hours on because auto-save wasn’t on, or run out of gas? Maybe you’ve experienced only one, or maybe you've experienced all of the above situations, but the point is that they should have taught you valuable lessons.
Safety mistakes are no different. Well, that’s not actually true. The previously mentioned mistakes won’t usually put you in harm or death’s way, whereas safety mistakes can! But if you’ve ever:

Banged your head without wearing a hard hat.

Hurt your hands while not wearing gloves.

Had something come close to or hit your eye while not wearing safety glasses.

Strained your back because you weren’t wearing a weight belt.

Almost fell because you didn’t have on a harness.

Or any other near miss.
Then you probably know and share the value of wearing the proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). Safety Mistakes and close calls aren’t good to experience, but they are great teachers!
